I think the heat may have killed all my creativity. Just kidding, but I’m definitely feeling kind of stressed and uninspired. I work best when I’m able to get out and do physical activities. There’s something about mindlessly doing something outside that brings about inspiration in me. With the current heat wave there is a two hour window between 6 and 8 a.m. That’s just not enough. So I’ve been doing the second best thing for creativity and roaming the internet.

I love Jonathan Adler and I collect elephants. This is perfect:

I think maybe I need to do something crafty to distract me from my creativity slump. Maybe I’ll go pickup some yarn so I can make one of these faux Juju Hats. I’ve been thinking about hanging a large one over my bed.

Or maybe I’ll try to figure out how to make one of these:

You may have noticed a lot of my links are from Pinterest. If you’re not familiar with Pinterest, it’s an internet bulletin board that allows you to pin pictures from the internet. I used to use Evernote for my inspiration but when it comes to pictures, Pinterest is much better. You can scroll through your boards or other people’s boards and find inspiration. You can follow me here. It’s not just for design inspiration. If you find yourself bookmarking things all over the internet because you like them, then you’ll love it.
