How was your weekend? Mine was great – relaxing and productive; I got to spend time practicing calligraphy, piano, guitar, and ukulele.
Watching… Endeavour. I am really disappointed in the TV options this summer. Usually one of the major networks has a show that’s at least marginally worth watching. I haven’t discovered one yet this year so I’ve turned to Netflix. Endeavour popped up as recommended for me – probably due to my love of British television and crime procedurals. I’ve enjoyed the first season and am excited to finish it just in time to catch the second season on Masterpiece on PBS.
Listening… John Philip Sousa radio on Pandora. My dad was a huge fan of Sousa, it probably reminded him of his good times at NMMI. Sousa reminds me of my dad, so when church Sunday ended with the orchestra playing Stars and Stripes Forever, I pulled up Sousa radio to listen to while I drove home.
Loving… Chevron Stripe Tie Waist Dress from Loft. I stopped in Loft the other day to see if they had a top I’d seen online. They did not, but they did have this super-cute dress. I really didn’t need another dress but with birthday money burning a hole in my pocket, I couldn’t resist. I think it will get a lot of wear (after this round of 30 for 30).
Eating… Whiskey Cake at Whiskey Cake. One of my sisters and niece were so sweet to treat me to lunch at Whiskey Cake for my birthday. I had the lamb stack, which was good, but the Whiskey Cake for dessert made the meal. Yum.
Reading…Eleanor & Park. I have been on a Young Adult kick lately. I think when I read one, then Amazon recommends another until it turns into a cycle of young adult. This is also the second book in the cycle that’s set in the 80’s. I’m not very far into it but think it will be a good quick read – perfect for summer.
What have you been up to lately?
