Did you have a good weekend? Mine was very nice. I spent some time with my mom and got a few things done around the house.
Reading…Dark Places. This is Gillian Flynn’s (author of Gone Girl) second novel. This one was a little more uncomfortable for me to read. I think there was more gore than suspense. I’m a huge fan of suspense, not so much of gore. It was okay but not the best.
Watching…Hannibal. Since I’m not a fan of gore, I’m not sure why I thought it was a good idea to watch this show. But I watched Season 1 and the suspense of how Hannibal gets caught keeps me into it. The sets, props, and costumes are works of art that also keep me interested.
Loving…TOMS Strappy Wedge Sandals. I mentioned last week that I was replacing my uncomfortable Target sandals. I bought these to replace my black sandals. I absolutely love them. They’re a little dressier than my Target sandals, but way more comfortable. I did remove the tags from the backs; I really wish they would leave those off their dressier shoes.
Listening… to The Art of Simple Podcast. I spent some time on the road this weekend and listened to several podcasts, including two episodes of the Art of Simple. If you are trying to get inspired to declutter, the one with Joshua Becker should be a great help.
Doing…yoga. A friend of mine is teaching a yoga class at church. I started going last week and loved it! Most yoga I’ve done in the past has been focussed on fitness; it always moves so fast. This was slow moving – very meditative; it has inspired me to start doing yoga at home.
What have you been up to lately?
