Eating… Picadillo. Since it’s cooled off, this has become a regular at my house lately. It’s incredibly simple to make, I usually use a pound of cooked hamburger, some cumin, garlic, tomato paste, a couple of cups of water, and green olives. Cook it in the crock pot for a few hours. I love anything with olives in it. Yum!
Watching… Foul Play. I think I must be feeling nostalgic. I’ve been watching a lot of favorites from my childhood. Any time I read a book with an albino, I always envision William Frankfather.
Loving… Latte Mugs. When the weather cools off, I drink a lot of hot beverages throughout the day, usually tea or hot water. These mugs are the perfect size; they hold a little over a couple of cups.
Reading… Assassination Vacation. This is an odd one. The author is a history buff fascinated with presidential assassinations. It’s full of interesting factoids. For example, did you know that Robert Todd Lincoln was in close proximity to the assassinations of three different presidents? In addition to being with his father, Abraham Lincoln, when he died, he was also in the vicinity of James Garfield and William McKinley at the times of their deaths.
Listening to…The Twelve Tribes of Hattie. I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I was attempting to read this book for book club. It’s not my cup of tea and I never got into it. Book club is this week so I thought I’d give it another shot and listen to it while I work on stuff around the house. I’m still not into it, but it’s easier to make progress when you can do other things while someone reads to you.
