Watching…
Military Wives. When I saw a preview of this movie on Facebook the other day, I was intrigued. I love Sharon Horgan, so I searched it out and found it for free on Hulu. It’s the story of a group of military wives that start up a choir while their spouses are deployed. It was a fun movie with lots of music.

You Need a Budget. I’m actually on my second read/listen of this book, by the creator of YNAB. I’m working on re-establishing spending priorities and being more mindful of my spending. I’ve read a few financial books and this one is by far the best about day-to-day money (The Simple Path to Wealth is the best investing book). I’ve considered using the YNAB, but think I will probably stick to using Excel instead.

99% Invisible/Articles of Interest: Perfume. I’m excited that Articles of Interest has returned to 99% Invisible. This episode especially caught my interest. As a kid I was always trying to create new scents. My older sister will tell you that I was always shoving something in her face and telling her to “smell this!” I would love to take a class on scent making. I don’t think Oklahoma City has anything like that. I may have to watch for something when I travel again.

Young House Love moving updates. Let’s face it, there’s not a lot of adventure to be had right now. I’ve really been enjoying keeping up with John and Sherry’s move to Florida. I find myself checking Instagram frequently just to see the updates. There are so many things I love about it. First, there’s the adventure element; second, they’ve downsized a lot; and finally, they have made massive changes to the house and will continue to remodel. I definitely recommend checking it out. Sherry posts a lot of updates on Instagram stories.
Introducing…
Arlo. If anyone was betting on how long it would take for me to get a quarantine puppy, the answer is May 25th. I’ve been looking for a while but dogs are in scarce supply and I have had a hard time finding something in the size range that I wanted. I may eventually do a DNA test on him. My guess is that he’s got some Shiba Inu (black & tan) and beagle, but who knows?!? Charlotte seems less thrilled than I thought she’d be, but she did tolerate him laying on her bed with her, so maybe there’s hope.
