These past couple of weeks has been filled with ups and downs. I hope you are well. I’ve been adjusting to my new normal and never got around to writing anything here. I am settling in and hopefully will be blogging at least as much as normal, if not a bit more. I am working from home full time for the time being.
Watching…
Sisters. I came across this Australian tv show while looking for something light-hearted to watch. It’s the story of a large group of people that discover that they are siblings when the founder of a fertility clinic announces that he was the father of many of the babies born out of his clinic. It’s amusing enough to distract me.
Reading…
The Bookish Life of Nina Hill. I have mixed feelings about this book. I mostly enjoyed it but I didn’t care for the love story portion of the book. I know that I was supposed to like the love interest but I didn’t. It seems as though he was a bit demanding for someone that’s only been around a couple of days. I felt as though, Nina, acquiesced and apologized for herself more than any man would have done.
Listening to…
10 Things to Tell You. I don’t always listen to this podcast but I do follow Laura on social media. When I saw that this episode was about anxiety, I immediately downloaded it. This is one I suspect I may listen to a few times in the upcoming months. If you have children, I thought Dr. Becky offered some great tips for comforting kids during this time of uncertainty.
Studying…
ukulele. It’s been over a year since I last played the ukulele (when I took a lesson in Hawaii last January). I’ve completely forgotten everything I once knew. When I found out that Fender Play was offering free lessons for the next three months, I jumped on it. My goal is to play a few minutes every day. Once I’ve relearned the uke, I hope to switch to the guitar and relearn to play it too.
Loving…
my flowers. Last fall, I purchased a bunch of bulbs at Costco. I don’t remember what a lot of them are so it’s been a surprise to check the front flower bed and find flowers. I’m looking forward to what pops up there this spring!
