Watching…
The Circle. John and Sherry recommended this on their podcast. They gave the impression that even people that don’t like reality TV would like it. I’m on the fence. This Netflix series definitely falls heavily in the Reality TV category – something I’m not usually a fan of. It does pose some interesting questions with regard to social media and how people tend to share a persona. It’s funny how, even knowing there are catfishes in the group, many of the players are so gullible.

Life Admin. This post is heavy on John and Sherry; I learned of this book when the author was on their podcast. I’m not too far into it but I hope to learn some things to help ease my life admin burden – you know, the stuff you think about when you think of adulting. The reviews are high, so I’m hopeful there will be something new here.
Listening to…
James Taylor. I have been a big James Taylor fan for most of my life. I kind of go through phases where I heavily listen to him and phases where I don’t so much. I suspect, that like rewatching some of my favorite TV shows, it’s a comfort thing. I guess there are a lot of worse ways to deal with stress.
Using…
Countdown Timer. When I read The Now Habit, one of the methods the author recommends is focusing on tasks in small blocks of time. I am working on establishing a habit of figuring out the tasks I want to focus on each day and then use the Pomodoro Technique to do so. I decided having a real timer (as opposed to using my phone) would help me avoid the temptation of playing on my phone every time I set a timer.
Loving…
my new(ish) treadmill. I used gift cards to buy this treadmill after Christmas. I’ve used it some but think I’m really going to step up (see what I did there?) my game, now that I finally got around to installing a desk/shelf above it. In fact, I’m walking as I write this post. In this go-around, I’ve been walking for 27 minutes. I can’t walk super fast and work at the same time, but you’d been amazed by how many steps you can get in while working. I don’t think I’ll be able to design and walk but I can definitely write/edit and walk.
