Watching… Frasier. I’ve been hesitant to dive into anything new and have instead been watching Frasier reruns on Cozi TV. I began watching on Netflix. When it was pulled from Netflix, I started watching on Prime; the next day it was pulled from Prime and is now only available through the CBS subscription – so over the air it is! I forgot how good this show was. It still makes me laugh out loud.
Reading… We are the Luckiest. I have no idea where I heard about this book. At some point, it showed up in my library digital “shelf”. I listened to it over the weekend and it was amazing. It’s a memoir telling the story of the author’s journey to become sober. It is beautifully told and is applicable to anyone that’s had to do anything hard (ie all of us). I give this one five stars. I highly recommend it; in fact, there were several moments where I wished I was reading on my Kindle so I could highlight passages. I will definitely be rereading this one at some point.
Listening… to Gregory Alan Isakov. Almost a year and a half ago, I had the opportunity to see Gregory Alan Isakov at Redrocks. I had listened to his music before then, but initially wanted to go to the concert because he was playing with Patty Griffin. After seeing him live, I am a huge fan. I listen to his music every night as I go to sleep. I was excited to see that he was nominated for a Grammy and even recorded the ceremony so I could fast forward to see if he took home the Grammy for Best Folk Album. At the time of writing this that award has not yet been given.
Eating… Cauliflower Tabbouleh. I have been on a real cauliflower kick lately. This weekend I decided to try out making tabbouleh with riced cauliflower. I love how it turned out. I cooked the package as usual and refrigerated the cauliflower overnight. Once it was cold, I mixed it with tomatoes, onion, cucumbers, parsley, some pepperoncini peppers, a few kalamata olives, 21 seasoning salute, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar. I liked it so much that I think I may experiment with making some “pasta” salads with the riced cauliflower. I think it might be a good way to paleo-ize them.
Wanting… Jim’s Sweet Love Coffee. I am a huge coffee snob and this is by far my favorite coffee. Thinking I’d selected the JSL, I accidentally ordered a huge bag of the Jim’s Italian Roast and have been sadly drinking it. I gave away a bunch of it this weekend and still have a ton of it to get through. I can’t wait to return to my beloved JSL.
