Reading…
More Than Enough: How One Family Cultivated A More Abundant Life Through A Year Of Practical Minimalism. I’ve been feeling called to and working up towards doing a (clothes) shopping ban for a while. This book has been the most inspiring thing I’ve read towards that end. The author’s philosophy is that “enough is a decision.” At this moment I know I have enough… hopefully I will continue to make that decision.
Watching…
Agatha Raisin. Acorn has released new episodes of some of my favorite shows so I decided to get a month of the streaming service. The second and third seasons of Agatha Raisin seem a little sillier to me than the original movie and first season. I still enjoy watching and seeing what happens with the characters, but I wish they’d stuck with the original feel. The books are on my “to read” list.
Loving…
the weather! The weather this weekend was amazing. It sounds like it’s going to have to hold us over for a while since we are diving into winter today.
Working on…
cutting limbs. I had a really large limb come down in a storm a couple of months ago. Between being busy with other things and the weather, I had not done anything with it until yesterday. I cut a lot of it back with a handsaw, but there is still some left today. I may have to get someone with a chainsaw to help me finish what’s left.
Wearing…
Nike Tanjun Running Shoes. In the past week, I have had had a few days of 10,000+ steps. They have mostly been taken wearing these shoes. These are by far the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned. This is my second pair; I don’t think I will ever buy another style of athletic shoes again.
