Reading… The Year of Less. I bought this book when it came out but hadn’t read it. I was wanting some minimalism inspiration and decided to finally get to this. It was a good book. I’ve read Cait’s blog for years, so there wasn’t a lot that was new to me. If you are looking to make changes in your life and want some inspiration, this fits the bill.
Watching… Modern Love. I loved this Amazon Prime series inspired by the New York Times column and podcast. Each episode is a different story and has different characters. There were a couple of episodes that I didn’t love so much, but overall I highly recommend this one. It reminds me a bit of Before Sunrise. It’s not action-packed, which probably explains some of the poor reviews. The first episode was my favorite.
Listening to… 99% Invisible: Audio Guide to the Imperfections of a Perfect Masterpiece. As a lover of all things Frank Lloyd Wright, I was excited by the topic of this week’s 99pi. I’ve always wanted to visit the Guggenheim and this really ramped up that desire. I must make a trip to NYC!
Eating… Simple Mills Almond Flour Crackers. I am addicted to these crackers. I don’t normally keep them around the house but Costco has had huge boxes of them on super sale this month. Once my stockpile is depleted I really need to take a break. My carb intake has been much higher than I like.
Planting… ranunculus and alliums. I bought a couple of huge bags of bulbs at Costco a month or so ago. With winter weather on the horizon, I decided I better get them in the ground. I’m looking forward to beautiful flowers making their appearance next spring.
