Watching… The Durrells in Corfu. This show checks several boxes for me: it’s set in an exotic location, is British, and is generally a fun light-hearted show. I was thrilled to discover that the entire fourth season is available on PBS Passport so I can binge watch it before it finishes airing on tv. I’m sad this is the final season but excited to see what happens.
Listening to… The Dutch House. When listening to audiobooks, I usually listen to non-fiction and save fiction to read, but when I heard that Tom Hanks narrated the latest Ann Patchett book, I immediately went to Scribd and downloaded it. This was so good! I enjoyed the book but the performance by Hanks took it to the next level. If you are interested in trying out Scribd you can get two free months with this link. I love it because the books are unlimited; they generally have most books plus they even offer some random things like sheet music.
Reading… Chances Are. I’m about a quarter of the way into this and am really enjoying it. I was reading it at the same time that I was listening to The Dutch House and was having a little trouble going back and forth between the two. They are both narrated by men and cover growing up to adulthood – plus they are set during the same time. I kept having to stop and think about what had happened with this particular character.
Loving… Light Society Zeno Globe Light (mine is the white globe with the gold finish which doesn’t seem to be available right now). There are a few things left to do, but my kitchen project is mostly finished. This light is probably my favorite piece. I love it so much that I’m planning to get this similar light for my half bath.
Wearing… Everlane Wide Leg Patch Pocket Pants. I am so excited that the weather has finally cooled off enough for me to wear these pants. I have them in olive and indigo. I wore them with sandals this weekend but I can also wear them with booties. They have a fun retro vibe. Yay for fall!!!
