I did not intend to take off last week. I’ve been stressed trying to finish my kitchen and prepare for the 80th birthday party I’m hosting on Saturday. I hope the kitchen is finished by then!
Reading… The Flatshare. The reviews for this book are glowing, so my expectations were pretty high. It was okay but was a little too rom-commy for me. If you are into that kind of book, this one starts off with a different premise than most.
Watching… Stumptown. I’ve tried out a few of the new series and so far, this one is my favorite. It’s a dark dramedy starring Cobie Smulders. Not sure if it was intentional but there was even a nod to HIMYM. I love a good PI one-hour mystery show a la Magnum P.I., I’m hoping that this one will stick around.
Loving… Ceiling Roller & Shield. I feel like I’m finally beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel on my kitchen redecorating. The ceiling is repaired, walls and ceiling painted, lights replaced, and cabinet boxes painted. Now I’m gradually painting the doors. I don’t have a lot of room to lay them out, so it’s slow going. My least favorite painting task is the ceiling, but this ceiling roller made the process a lot easier.
Listening to…Ludovico Einaudi. I’ve been working on a slideshow for my mom’s birthday and have been trying to figure out what music to use. She’s not much of a music person so that doesn’t really give me anything to go on. I think I’m just going to go with something instrumental. You can’t go wrong with Ludovico Einaudi.
Wanting… a Striped Sweater. I’ve been on the lookout for a striped sweater. There are a few in the running. I really like this one but since it’s a wrap sweater I have my suspicions that I won’t like the fit. But it’s got that retro vibe that I’m looking for and it has red in it so I can wear it with my red flats.
