Reading… The Girl He Used to Know. This book was a bit more in the romance category than what I usually read. But it was an unconventional romance between a woman on the spectrum and a man she met in college. Their college romance ended but they rekindle things when they run across each other one day. The book alternates between timelines – their college days and their second chance.
Watching… Songland. I have kind of given up on The Voice and similar shows (including America’s Got Talent). This has made a good replacement. I enjoy learning a bit about the process of how songs are written and recorded. And apparently, there are several Oklahoma connections.
Listening to… Super Soul Sunday Podcast. This isn’t in my regular podcast rotation, but I check the guests every now and then and listen to the episodes that interest me. I really enjoyed the ones with Steven Pressfield and Elizabeth Gilbert on creativity.
Wearing… Jenny Leopard Slides. Many years ago, I had a pair of leopard print sandals from Boden that I absolutely loved. I wore them so much that they fell apart. I’ve been looking for a replacement sandal ever since. I couldn’t pass up these sandals from Target. They are pretty comfortable and I suspect that I will wear them until they fall apart.
Loving… Fiona the Fiddle Leaf Fig. Much of yesterday was spent making duplicate trips to Lowe’s and Home Depot for a home improvement project. The project was finally completed, plus I got over 10,000 steps and found a fiddle leaf fig. I’ve been looking for one for several years and have heard rumors that they could be found at Home Depot, but this is the first time I’ve found one. I’ve named her Fiona; I hope I can keep her alive.
