Watching…
Last Tango in Halifax. I’ve been trying to make the most of my Netflix subscription. It had been a while since I started a new British show. After a Netflix recommendation, I landed on this one. It’s a story of two people in their 70’s who rekindle a romance they had as teens. I especially enjoyed the progression of the sister-like relationship between their two adult daughters. I liked this drama and was sad to finish the series.
Reading…
The Girls in the Garden. I was intrigued by the premise of this book about a group of kids that spend hours each day hanging out in the community’s garden. Something happens to one of the kids and the book revolves around figuring out what exactly happened and who was involved. It was okay, but I did not enjoy it as much as I hoped I would.
Drinking…
Black elderberry. I have been fighting a bad cold for the last two weeks. It occurred to me late last week that I hadn’t tried any of my usual natural cold remedies. Unfortunately, I discovered that I didn’t have anything on hand and the prices at Natural Grocers were crazy high. I ordered these tablets and have been nursing this cold with the hope that it will finally go away.
Eating…
at Vito’s Ristorante. The service here was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The menu wasn’t really my cup of tea. As someone who avoids pasta, I don’t think I fall in their target market. I ordered the chicken scallopini and was disappointed. The menu does not mention that it is floured and includes pasta. I’m sure this one rates higher with big pasta eaters.
Wanting…
a black jumpsuit. I’m in one of those stages where I don’t like how most of my clothes fit. I’m pear-shaped with a really high waist. I think this is why I tend to prefer dresses; I think they look better but I’ve been more in the mood for pants. I’m wondering how I would look in a jumpsuit. I really love this one from Amour Vert, but think I might go the inexpensive route and try this one.
