Reading…
This Will Never Happen Again. I learned about David Cain’s blog Raptitude when someone linked to his Depth Year post. I love his writing; he always seems to put into words thoughts that I completely agree with but never could have voiced so eloquently. His work is best read in small spurts and then pondered upon.
Watching…
Call the Midwife. It’s hard to believe that I’ve been watching this show for eight seasons. So much, yet so little, has changed since the beginning. Sometime I should go back and re-watch it from the start. This is one of those shows that I can usually count on to make me cry. Although, now that I think about it, I’m not sure that’s happened since last season’s massive tear-jerker. If you like a good drama (that’s not overly melodramatic) and you aren’t watching this one, you should start immediately.
Buying…
All the plants. This is the time of year where I run to the garden center for one thing (herbs) and come home with one of everything else. I’m having trouble finding the spicy globe basil that I love, so I invariably find myself back at the garden center, starting the cycle all over again. I thought that I had all the succulents I needed but there are more to be had!
Loving…
The ladybugs. Ladybugs are good for your garden; they eat pests and are good pollinators. In years past, I’ve contemplated buying some. For some reason, this year they seem to be plentiful. They are crawling all over my ajuga. I hope they stick around.
Using…
My heat cap. I chopped off my hair last week. I think it was a pretty dramatic cut, but either it’s not or people don’t like it because only one person has mentioned my new do. I’m still trying to figure out how to fix it in the mornings. I’ve had this cut before, but not since I went full-on curly/wavy. I did a heat treatment this weekend and it seems to be helping boost my curls.
