Reading… Goodbye, Vitamin. I’ve had this book on reserve with the library for several months. I’m not sure what put it on my radar but I’m about halfway through and am really enjoying it. It’s the story of a 25-ish year old girl who comes home to live with her parents when her dad is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. It’s not as depressing as it sounds; it’s a dark topic with lots of light moments.
Watching… Friends from College. This Netflix show was highly recommended in a Facebook group that I am in. I am loving it! It’s definitely not for everybody; it’s a pretty dark comedy. I love dark comedy and the group of friends is my age, so the music and the vibe really remind me of my college years.
Listening to… Break the Twitch: Building Community with Joel Zaslofsky. There was a podcast that was my all-time-favorite podcast called Intentionally Wandering. I was really sad when Jeff Sandquist decided to stop doing making it, and even more sad when I realized that the previously recorded episodes were no longer available. A lot of the guests that were on that podcast have been appearing on the Break the Twitch podcast; Joel Zaslofsky is one. Zaslofsky is a multi-potentialite and I always enjoy listening to him.
Loving… Amazon Basics 20-inch Carry-on Suitcase. I really wanted an Away Suitcase but could not justify spending the money on one. I ended up getting this suitcase from Amazon and I am glad I did. I love that it has four wheels (so much better than my old one that had two and was prone to tipping over). I have flown with it on two trips and so far it has held up really well. I’ve carried it on all but one leg where the plane was two small and they made us check our bags at the gate.
Using… 1 Second Everyday App. I thought it would be fun to make one of these videos. You shoot a second every day and at the end of the year you have a short video of your entire year. Mine is going to be short a few days because I frequently forget to shoot the video. But it should be fun to watch nonetheless.
