Watching… Bletchley Circle: San Francisco. I loved the original series about a group of women who were code breakers in England during WWII. This follow up series started off pretty good but became unbelievable to the point of distraction. There were three mysteries told in two episodes each. I felt the last mystery (last two episodes) were pretty absurd. I got a trial of Britbox so I could watch this. So far, I’m much more impressed with Acorn.
Reading… Not That I Could Tell. There is a flurry of activity in the neighborhood, when neighbor Kristen disappears with her kids. As the book unfolds, we learn about Kristen’s life and what might have happened to her. We also get to know her friends in the neighborhood. This book reminds me of Big Little Lies. I enjoyed it. I will have to check out this author’s other books.
Listening to… Reply All, Episode #130: The Snapchat Thief. This story of how a girl’s Snapchat account got stolen out from under her is one of the scariest things I’ve heard in a long time. I don’t have a Snapchat account but it got me thinking about all the other things that could be hacked and stolen. I recommend checking this one out as well as the links on the episode page.
Loving… Shredded Foam Pillow. Growing up I had a feather pillow that I loved so much I took it with me everywhere. I was distraught when I left it at a hotel when we went to visit my sister at college. Thankfully, they found it and she brought it home to me. As you can imagine, after many years of use and horrible allergies, I had to let it go. I’ve been using a foam pillow for awhile now but have missed being able to fluff and shape my pillow. When I learned about these shredded foam pillows, I had to get one. I think I’m going to love it.
Wanting… a Treadmill. They are predicting a cold and snowy winter. It’s already been so cold some days that I haven’t been taking my regular walks. I don’t want a big heavy-duty treadmill but would love to have something like this one that I could use with a standing desk. Gotta get in those steps!
