Watching… Homeland. When I saw an offer on Amazon for a free week of Showtime, I knew it was the perfect time to watch Season 7. This season is focused on the Russians and fake news. It may have been the best season yet. It ends on a bit of a cliffhanger. I’m looking forward to seeing what Season 8 has in store for Carrie.
Reading… Happiness for Beginners. I really enjoyed How to Walk Away and decided to read another Katherine Center book. So far I’ve found her books light but not too much so. Helen decides to change her life by getting out of her comfort zone and participating in a wilderness survival trip. It was a fun, quick read.
Listening to… Zig Zag. I’m enjoying this relatively new podcast hosted by Manoush Zomorodi and Jen Poyant in partnership with Civil and Radiotopia. It’s the journey of women setting out on a new business adventure as well as the blockchain and journalism.
Playing… Two Dots. Many years ago, I was a regular Dots player. My niece recently raved about Two Dots and then it was mentioned in a book I listened to (ironically about limiting device usage). I warn you, it’s definitely addictive. Thankfully, you have a limited number of lives and have to pay up or wait for new ones. This usually keeps me from playing for too long – especially if I get stuck on a level.
Eating… fresh herbs. One of my favorite things about summer is all the fresh herbs from my herb garden. This year’s garden has not disappointed; I have basil, oregano, thyme, chives, and dill. My basil is going crazy. I should make pesto!
