Did you have a good weekend? The weather here was perfect for spending lots of time outdoors. I didn’t realize how much I needed that!
Watching… Young Sheldon. I’m not sure why I’ve been stockpiling this show on the TiVo – maybe for when nothing else is on. A lot of my comedies haven’t been airing the last few weeks so, in need of some laughs, I’ve been watching this. I adore Annie Potts and was thrilled to discover that she’d been cast as Meemaw. I also cannot get over how much Zoe Perry looks and sounds like her mother.
Reading… Big Magic. I started reading this a long time ago but for some reason didn’t finish it. Somewhere along the way I got really nervous about pursuing my creative endeavors. I’ve been half-hearted in my efforts and I want to be whole-hearted. Elizabeth Gilbert is amazing at getting to the bottom of those issues. She’s looking at it from the perspective of a write, but it applies to anyone pursuing a life of creativity. I suspect I will read this book multiple times.
Listening to… Note to Self. I binge listened to the series on Internet Security last week. It was recorded long before the Facebook troubles. I plugged in a blog post to the Apply Magic Sauce site and it predicted that I was 33 years old and the epitome of femininity. It said that I was likely artistic; organized and hard working; contemplative; and laid back and relaxed. I’ll take that – especially the age!
Wanting… Josef Frank: Against Design. I am so inspired by Josef Frank’s textile designs. If it were in the budget, I would have pillows for the living room made from his Mirakel print. I’ve been reading everything I can about Frank. I would love to read this book.
Eating… Cacao Nibs. I’ve been doing pretty well on avoiding sugar – accept when offered M&M’s at work. These nibs still let me get my chocolate fix. I put them in smoothies or mix them with a spoonful of nut butter. Yum!
