I’m sorry for the lack of posts lately. I’ve been low on creative energy and have been working on building up my reserves. I think I’m making progress.
Reading… Still Me. I loved Me Before You. The sequel was okay, but I didn’t like it nearly as much. That isn’t stopping me from giving the third book in the trilogy a try. The ratings appear to be a lot higher than for the second book so I have hopes that it will be better.
Watching… The Masters. I often turn on golf as a nice backdrop to my weekend – sometimes I actually watch it. This weekend was one of those instances. I was pulling for fellow Cowboy, Rickie Fowler. I really thought he might pull out a win, but alas it wasn’t to be.
Listening to… The Science of Happiness. I’ve been enjoying this podcast by The Greater Good Science Center of UC Berkley. Each episode, a guest will complete a challenge/task that science says will increase their happiness. They talk about how it went and then they discuss the science behind it.
Prepping… healthy food. I’m planning a five day fast of sorts this week. I’m planning to eat super healthy – lots and lots of veggies (a crap-ton if you will). I know the only way that I will be successful is by doing a lot of prep in advance. I nearly bought all the veggies at Trader Joe’s and now I’m washing and chopping my heart out.
Wearing… J. Crew Cashmere Sweater. I happened upon a major sale at J. Crew Factory; I think it was half off plus a bit more. I stocked up on three of these sweaters and am loving them. They wash really well and are just the right weight – not to heavy but also not too thin. I will definitely be watching for more colors next winter.
