Hi there! I’m sorry that I was a no-show last week. Lunar the foster dog kind of depleted my energy/will to do anything. My first foster experience was not good. But I learned a few lessons for next time (if there is a next time). Thankfully things have returned to normal around here and I hope to get back on track this week.
Reading… Midnight at the Bright Ideas Bookstore. I mostly enjoyed this book but am a little surprised by the rave reviews. It was a quick read and it’s set in downtown Denver which was fun since I’m familiar with several of the places mentioned. Most of the story centers around a fictional bookstore that is inspired by Tattered Cover. I found the story a bit implausible but if you get past that it’s an enjoyable read.
Watching… The Durrells in Corfu. I’m so excited this show is back. It combines three of my favorite things: British TV, quirky characters, and an exotic setting. Visiting Corfu is now on my bucket list. I think I’ll stay here.
Listening… to The Type-A Creative Podcast. I’m pretty equal parts right & left brained, so when I came across this podcast, I knew it would be right up my alley. I’ve been binge listening to it for the last couple of weeks and have really been enjoying it.
Wearing… Red Driving Moccasins. I’ve been wanting some red flats but didn’t want to spend much money on them. I finally decided to get these driving moccasins (which have gone up in price since I bought them). They are pretty comfortable and add a pop of color to my mostly neutral capsule wardrobe.
Loving… Axel Collection Chandelier. After 15 years of hating my dining room chandelier, I finally have one that I LOVE. It makes me so happy to look at it! I went back and forth on which fixture I wanted to go with and am really happy that I selected this one. The price was great and it’s perfect for the space. Next up are the kitchen fixtures.
What have you been up to lately?
