Watching….Dirty Dancing. My Tivo was kind enough to randomly record Dirty Dancing for me the other day. It’s been a long time since I’d seen it; the summer it came out on HBO, I probably watched it 10-15 times. It never gets old and was a perfect backdrop for working on paperwork.
Eating…at The Mule. I’m not sure how well I’ve been doing on giving up sugar. I haven’t had soda or anything like that, but I’m finding my biggest hurdle is sandwiches. If it’s not the bread, it’s the meat inside. I had the Mufaletta special at The Mule. It was super yummy, but I’m pretty sure there was processed sugar lurking in there somewhere. I was not a huge fan of their fries. I think next time I’ll try the tomato soup.
Drinking…Seagram’s Sparkling Seltzer Water. I have not had soda for a week, instead I’ve been drinking lots of sparkling water. The last few times I’ve gone to Target, they have not been well stocked with La Croix, so I’ve tried this Seagram’s water. I’ve had the Key Lime and the Orange Citrus; I like them both. I heard a rumor that La Croix makes a coconut flavored water that’s available at the Super Target so I think I’ll have to make a trek up there to pick some up.
Loving…TypeIt4Me. This app has made repeat email messages so simple. It lets you create a clipping that is associated with an abbreviation. When you type that abbreviation, it fills in everything from the clipping. It’s perfect for the messages I send with design proofs. If you find yourself typing the same things over and over, I recommend checking this one out. There are similar programs for Windows, I haven’t tried any of them though.
Reading…Daughter of Smoke & Bone. Timing my reading for book club can sometimes be hard, especially if the book selection is not something I’m particularly excited about. I may be cutting it a little close with this one. This month’s book is not something I would normally read, but the reviews are great so I’ll give it a go. I’ve got about a week and a half to get it read.
