How was your weekend? Mine was nice, I spent most of the day Saturday outside trying to make the backyard pretty. Then Sunday was for relaxing (as Sunday’s should be).
Loving… Reversible Pocket Tote. I used to carry the Madewell Transport Tote pretty regularly, but it’s a lot bigger than I would like. When I came across this bag I fell in love; not only is it the perfect size but it’s reversible so I can switch from cognac to black whenever I want.
Watching… The Americans. About the only thing I’ve been using my Vue subscription to watch is season 4 of this show. I’m beginning to think all shows should be set in the 80’s; they seem to be my favorite. If you’ve never seen it, I highly recommend you check it out.
Listening… to The Crave Cast. My healthy eating got off track at Christmas with lots of way too many treats. I’ve been really working to get back on track. I’ve found that participating in online groups and listening to the occasional podcast helps keep me focussed and inspired. This podcast has become one of my favorites. My favorite episode was with Dr. Mark Hyman where he talks about the myths about fat.
Drinking… Roasted Dandelion Root Tea. I recently decided that I needed to take a break from coffee. I have searched high and low for an alternative and found that this tea is the best one. I doubt I would mistake it for coffee in a taste test, but it’s the closest thing I’ve found. Most everything else is overly sweet, not a good substitute since I never sweeten my coffee.
Reading… When Breath Becomes Air. I have heard great things about this book, the memoir of Paul Kalanithi a neurosurgeon facing death. I have just begun reading, but I’m sure it will live up to the hype.
