How was your weekend? Mine was super lazy. I’m hoping this week will be much more productive.
Reading… Everything I Never Told You. This book begins by telling you that Lydia is dead. I began very interested to learn what happened to her. For the first quarter of the book, I was really hooked and interested to find out what happened. Then we began diving into each member of the family and learning about their unhappiness (before Lydia’s death). I’ve found it to be a bit depressing. I think I’ll stick it out but I’m currently up in the air as to whether I will like the book in its totality.
Eating… Moon Rabbit Cassava Flour. This cassava flour has become a staple in my kitchen. I mostly use it to make tortillas, which I can’t get enough of. I love that I can get it through Amazon’s Subscribe and Save at a much lower price than the popular brand of cassava flour that’s all over the internet.
Loving… Salt and Pepper Grinder Set. I sold my Fiestaware several months ago, along with it, my salt and pepper shaker. I’ve been needing a replacement. I ordered this all-in-one grinder after seeing it on Lifehacker. I’ve been keeping it in the kitchen and use it for cooking. I love freshly ground salt and pepper.
Using… Dead Sea Magnesium Oil. Most people are not getting as much magnesium as they need. I felt really crummy last week with lots of inflammation. I love this oil because you can apply it directly to sore areas. I use it in conjunction with an internal magnesium supplement and the occasional epsom salt bath. I’m not craving chocolate like I was (a symptom of magnesium deficiency) and I’m sleeping a lot better.
Wanting… healthy snacks. I’m contemplating doing the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) diet for a month or so – at the very least cutting nuts out of my diet for awhile. Unfortunately, nuts are a mainstay of my diet. I snack on them pretty regularly, so I’ve been looking for some alternatives. I’m planning to try out these coconut chips, SeaSnax, cinnamon apple chips.
What have you been up to lately?
