How was your weekend? After spending Saturday taking photos at the Pet Blessing, I hoped to work on editing them on Sunday. Unfortunately, I discovered that my laptop was bogged down with lots of other photos and files so I spent most of the day cleaning off and updating my computer. Why is it that I always tell myself I’ll do this maintenance as I work but never manage to do so?
Reading… The Silkworm. This is the second mystery in the series by J.K. Rowling (writing as Robert Galbraith). I enjoyed the first one and am so far enjoying this one. It’s probably not my favorite mystery series but definitely worth reading.
Watching… The Goldbergs. I resisted watching this show for awhile because of Wendi McLendon-Covey’s uncomfortable humor. I happened to catch bits and pieces of a few episodes and decided it was worth watching. Yesterday, I used Viggle rewards to buy season one and binge-watched several episodes. I think it’s honestly a good show but it’s also a security blanket of sorts that transports me to my childhood, growing up in the 80’s.
Listening… to Sorta Awesome podcast. Modern Mrs. Darcy recently mentioned the Sorta Awesome podcast on her blog and being the podcast junkie that I am I had to check it out. I’ve listened to a few episodes and have found myself frequently laughing out loud.
Wanting… Sateen Five Pocket Leggings from Loft. I dropped by Loft the other day and discovered these “leggings” (I would say they are actually skinny pants). I have been on the lookout for some olive colored pants for awhile. I tried these on and fell in love. I almost paid full price for them. I finally found them on the website (it took awhile since I was looking for pants). Now I’m holding out for a 40% off sale. I don’t want them to be skin-tight so I will size up. They are so comfortable, I’m tempted to buy a pair in every color.
Eating… Simply Balanced Organic Blue Corn Tortilla Chips. I try to stick to an anti-inflammatory (paleo) diet most of the time. But sometimes a girl needs some Mexican food and I treat myself to some of these delicious semi-healthy (healthier than most anyway) chips. Add some homemade salsa or guac. Delish!
