I’m sorry for my extended absence. I took a short trip to California (more on that tomorrow). Between preparing for that and recovering from traveling (and the cold I picked up), I just didn’t have the energy to blog. Hopefully I can make up for it this week.
Using… Aukey Portable Power Bank Charger. I bought this on a whim when Lifehacker shared that it was one sale one day. I’m so glad I did! We relied heavily on my iPhone and Siri to get us where we were going in CA. I used this every day during the trip to recharge my depleted battery. I highly recommend this gadget. It’s supposed to have four phone charges in it, when fully charged.
Loving… Echo. When Amazon announced their new Echo, I thought it looked kind of silly. Then I watched the video and decided I MUST have one in the kitchen. I preordered it in January at a discounted rate and it was delivered a few weeks ago. Alexa (the woman that lives inside Echo) has not disappointed me. I can listen to a Pandora station, set a timer, check the weather, ask for recipe conversion information and a lot more, without lifting a finger – perfect for kitchen use. My dream for Echo is that they will set it up so that you can have multiple Echos in your home working together.
Drinking…Java flavored Teeccino. Teecino is my latest attempt at finding a good coffee alternative. Like Dandy Blend, it’s pretty sweet. I prefer my coffee black, with a little coconut milk at most – no sweetener. So I don’t think this is going to be a long term alternative either. I’m beginning to think that I will just drink coffee but make it a special treat and try not to do so every day.
Watching… Doctor Blake Mysteries. When the Downton Abbey season ended, I transitioned into Call the Midwife. Now that it’s over, PBS is playing Doctor Blake Mysteries. I’ve only watched the first episode so far, but enjoyed it. My life wouldn’t be complete without some British TV.
Listening to… The Lively Show. I’ve been on a real podcast kick lately. I used to be a regular listener of Jess’ show but somehow got out of the habit. I’m binge-listening all the episodes I missed. My favorite episodes have been Hal Elrod and Jay Papasan. They were both really inspirational.
