How was your weekend? Mine was pretty lazy, probably in anticipating of a busy week ahead.
Reading… Art, Inc. I took one of Lisa Congdon’s classes on Creative Bug awhile back and have been following her blog since. This book sounded perfect for me. So far I’ve been enjoying it quite a bit; it offers some great tips for those with a creative business.
Eating…Raising Cane’s. I’ve been doing relatively well at avoiding fast food but broke down over the weekend and had some chicken fingers. Charlotte love to go for car rides so she came along. If the cashier sees he in the back seat they give her a dog bone. She does her best to make sure she is seen.
Wanting… Joan Watson’s scarf. Every time I watch Elementary, I find myself looking up what Joan (Lucy Liu) is wearing. I must not be the only one because there are several blogs devoted to the topic. Most of the pieces are super expensive and are dresses that would like like blouses on me. When I saw the scarf she was wearing in this week’s episode I fell in love and thought, “Finally! Something I could wear.” Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find it anywhere.
Watching… SlingTV. I was super-excited when I heard about SlingTV; it’s basically commitment-free internet TV. I signed up to be notified when it was available and then signed up for the 7 day free trial when I received a notice Friday. I’m pretty impressed with the quality. I’ll share a full review once I’ve used it a few days.
Playing… Drops. This language teaching game is designed to be played five minutes a day. It’s great for learning vocabulary words. I’ve been using it to beef up my Italian skills.
What have you been up to lately?
