Summer is almost over. During the hot months, it’s all I can do to keep up with mowing; I can’t wait to get outside and make things pretty again. There are a few things that have survived the hotter months. I plan on attempting to overwinter some of my sweet potato vine indoors. The ajuga has done really well; I plan to divide it and fill in some empty patches of the flower beds over the next few weeks. I seeded more of the back yard during the rain we had Saturday. I’m so excited to finally have grass in the back yard!

I don’t think I’ve ever included a photo of my weeping mulberry. It’s one of my favorite features of my yard. I bought it years ago at a garden center that used to be in Edmond. I took my parents there because I knew they would like it. I’d been wanting a weeping mulberry and was thrilled to find one there. We weren’t sure if we could get it in my parents’ car. I believe we had to put it through the sun roof. Fun times!
