I love this wallpaper with Steve Jobs’ quote, “Real Artist Ship.” The idea is that while it’s great to come up with ideas, it’s the real artists that follow through and have something to ship to customers. This is a great reminder for me, I tend to get stuck in idea mode.
I’ve been reading The Wilder Life: My Adventures in the Lost World of Little House on the Prairie by Wendy McClure. I never read the Little House books as a kid; I was more of an Anne of Green Gables girl. I did watch the TV show faithfully. I knew the TV show wasn’t very accurate; apparently, neither was the book. I completely forgot that they blew up Walnut Grove at the end of the TV show! The author is very amusing in her observations. She was a Laura super-fan as a kid so it’s fun reading as she visits important sites and explores what life must have been like for the Ingalls family.
I’m looking forward to checking out Whole Foods. I’m so excited that Oklahoma City finally has one. Did you know that PB Farms created this corn maze in honor of the new store? It’s about 70 miles west of Oklahoma City between Weatherford and Hydro. Be careful not to get lost!
I just discovered the Carambas Etsy store. If you are looking for some vintage art or maps, this is a great resource. I especially love this butterfly print. It’s a great alternative to the real thing.
I’m not usually a big fan of the lawn inflatable, but if it’s something original I can get on board. A house near my church has this one. The first time I saw it, it took me a second to realize that the pumpkin was Pacman. Now I smile every time I see it. It reminds me of two of my favorite things from my childhood, Halloween & Pacman.
Have a great weekend!
