After seeing the previews for Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, I decided I needed to move the book up on my “To Read” list. Luckily the library has the book for Kindle. I started reading it this week. It reminds me a lot of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. There is a stream of consciousness to the narration that can be a bit exhausting. But so far, I’m enjoying the story.
One of my favorite TV shows is Raising Hope. It always makes me laugh out loud. It’s maybe not for everybody. It’s by the same creator as My Name is Earl, Greg Garcia. I liked “My Name is Earl,” but I love “Raising Hope”. This video is of the Doggy Daycare/Senior Care Center owner singing to the dogs “It’s Only the Door Bell.” I think I need to start singing this to my dogs. Except my version is called, “It’s Only the Mailman.”
Speaking of dogs, have you seen this VW Star Wars Commercial? It’s one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a long time. It ranks up there with this commercial which I also love.
I was supposed to be taking an online class this week. That didn’t work out so well. Turns out that the class uses the latest version of Adobe Air, which requires, at a minimum, the Snow Leopard (Mac) Operating System. I am going to upgrade and take the February class. Have you upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard or Lion? Was it worth it?
Here’s a sneak peak of my latest crochet project. I’m working on a baby blanket for my newest niece. I hope to have it finished before next weekend so I’ve got a lot of work to do this weekend! This is my first attempt at a pieced afghan. It’s the Circle of Friends Square by Priscilla Hewitt via A Granny A Day. I have this one complete square done and several completed pink circles. I hope it turns out okay! Do you have any projects planned for the weekend?
