Sorry about my serious lapse in posting. Between all the electrical work that went on my house Saturday and trying to focus on the store, I didn’t get any posts done on either blog. Since I was without electricity nearly all day, I was forced to step away from the computer and did get a bunch of organizing accomplished.

I went up to Stillwater Friday to hang out with my Dad. It was Homecoming at OSU and my Mom had reunion activities to attend. Daddy and I drove all over Stillwater looking for things that were there when he was in school and things from when I was in school. Things have changed a lot since either of us were there; for one thing, the football team is MUCH better. Go Pokes!

I was very sad to hear about the death of Bob Barry, Sr. yesterday. Big Bob called OSU games when I was growing up. We watched Channel 4 in my house as I was growing up and Bob’s segments were always my favorite, largely due to his great enthusiasm. It was apparent how much he genuinely loved his job. Bob was an Oklahoma legend and will be missed.
I finished reading How to Be Lost by Amanda Eyre Ward. It was a quick read, a very good book. It’s the story of Caroline, a woman whose sister disappeared when they were children. After seeing a photo of a woman that looks like her sister, she sets out to find her. It reminded me a bit of I’d Know You Anywhere, a book told from the viewpoint of a woman that was kidnapped as a child. Both are good books.

Whether you’re trick-or-treating, going to a costume party, or handing out candy, have a great Halloween! I’m still working on my costume. What are you going to be for Halloween?
