Boden Heeled Stretch Boots
The weather is finally what I would consider “Fall-Like.” At least it has been for the last few days. I think it’s supposed to get warm again and then cool off. Welcome to Oklahoma. One of my favorite things about Fall is that I can get my boots out. For years I had a hard time finding boots for my skinny bird-legs. A few years ago I discovered Boden. I love their stuff and I love my boots. I have them in black and brown. I’m surprised that the reviews complain about them being too big in the calves. Maybe they’ve changed them since the ones I bought a few years ago. If you have trouble finding boots that fit, I would try these.
I just finished re-readingĀ The Art of Racing in the Rain for book club. I loved it the first time and I loved it just as much the second time. The story is told from the perspective of a dog. Enzo’s not just any regular dog; his commentary on life is very thoughtful and full of insight. I love dogs and am a bit of a racing fan (Indy cars), but I don’t think you have to be particularly interested in either to enjoy this book.

I have been thinking a lot lately about how I need to start eating better. After spotting this photo on Pinterest, I was inspired to try to have one of these smoothies for breakfast. I have had one every morning for the last three days. I don’t care for spinach but you can’t taste it at all. I’ve been using one banana, a fresh peach, a tangerine, a handful of spinach and some apple juice. I plan to continue to have one for breakfast using whatever fresh fruit is on sale at Sunflower Farmer’s Market.
Diego, my pet parrotlet, loves to play hide and seek. He will be out on his play stand, playing and chatting away. Next thing I know, he’s disappeared and I don’t know where he’s gone. He will be super quiet so I can’t find him by sound. This week he managed to get behind the piano and was hiding in the back of the piano. A few weeks ago he was hiding in the kitchen window. If I hadn’t happened to be staring at the window, I would have never seen him peak up his little head. I thought the blue bird with the green curtain made a pretty picture and maybe I could do something with it for my gallery wall. The picture above is what I have right now. I think I’m going to keep working on it.
This weekend I am having some electrical work done at my house so I will be without power for several hours. When I do have power, I will be adding Dry Erase Boards and Mouse Pads to my store. I really love how the dry erase boards turned out. They will be available with magnets or mounting tapeĀ on the back. What are your plans for the weekend?
