Wow. I’m tired. I saw The Hunger Games last night. It was quite an experience. When we arrived at the mall around 10:00 we were surprised to find a line wrapped around the entire mall. Some teenagers had apparently been there since 6:00 in the morning. The wait really wasn’t too bad. After walking the entire mall to circle the line, we were allowed into the theatre around 11:00 and were able to find four seats together in the back row. I thought the movie was really good. It’s been about a year since I read the book so I only caught a couple of changes between the book and the movie. And there was at least one thing that I think may have come from a later book, but I’m not sure. My nephew, who had read the book more recently, was a little more disappointed with the adaptation. But he still said proclaimed it was a good movie. Have you seen the movie? What did you think?
VaivaNat at Etsy via Swiss Miss
I do not have a cat. I’m more of a dog & bird person. I don’t want a pet that would eat one of my other pets. But if you have a cat, I think it needs one of these awesome beds from VaivaNat on Etsy. This is the latest on the list of items I’ve emailed to my sister for her to purchase for her cat, Stella. My favorite is this (go ahead, click, you won’t be disappointed).
Dogster
This Downton Abbey homage is hilarious. Dogster cast the parts with dogs. But no dog is haughty enough to play the Dowager Countess of Grantham. So she is a cat. I just realized today’s post has an unintended animal theme. You can check out the rest of the cast here.
Lego TV Show Characters Ad Campaign by Jung von Matt via Laughing Squid via Peta Pixel
This new Lego Campaign reminds me of a quiz that was circling the internet several years ago. I was able to easily identify all but two of the pictures on Laughing Squid and I think those might not be American shows. Or maybe I’m just too old. Do you recognize the characters above from my favorite childhood cartoon?
Have a great weekend! I will be spending some of mine catching up on sleep.
