This weekend, after The Girlie Show, Arienne and I went by the Old Farmers Market Antique Mall. When I saw these five drawer pulls for $3.00, I couldn’t pass them up. The white finish was a little rough. So I pulled out my new favorite paint and went to work.
I started by lightly sanding the rough spots. Apparently, they used to be red. Then, using some screws, I attached the pulls to a cardboard box.
Attaching the pulls to the lid of a box allows me to paint the entire pull without getting paint all over my hands. I painted the tops with the lid closed and then flipped the lid open to get to the bottoms and sides.
I really love that spray paint. It goes on really smooth and completely transforms whatever you paint.
Here’s the final pull. I really like how they turned out. I still want the Anthropologie pulls for the console table. I will probably use these on the other pieces in the dining room.
