After a bad storm, we are currently going on 36+ hours without power. Thankfully the weather has been unseasonably cool so far. The lack of power has me wondering what I did before all these devices. Fortunately, nearly everything was freshly charged when the power went out. If it stays out for several days, as OG&E says it might, I will be transporting everything seen here the next time I’m going to be somewhere with access to power.
This Lug Via Tote is relatively new, so I haven’t had the chance to put it through all its paces, but I think I’m going to love it. It has lots of pockets (one of them even insulated for food) and is big enough to hold a lot but not so big that it won’t fit under a plane seat.
My noise cancelling headphones have been a godsend during this phase of having the windows open 24/7. You don’t realize how noisy the world is until it’s coming through your windows at 3:00 in the morning. I don’t use these headphones regularly but when I want them for travel or situations like this, I’m always glad I have them.
Thanks to my Kindle, I’m making great progress on my latest book since I don’t have TV to distract me. And my iPad and Macbook tethered to my iPhone data are allowing me to write this post. If it weren’t for my external batteries, my phone, iPad and headphones would all be dead.
Here’s hoping that OG&E gets to my neighborhood today. Unfortunately, I have yet to see any signs that is going to happen.
