The garden has been slow going this year. I started some fescue in the front yard a couple of weeks ago and it’s finally starting to fill in. I still don’t have any blooms on my tomato plants, but I am starting to get some jalapeño peppers and strawberries. I did a little digging in the potato planter and retrieved a couple of small potatoes. There were a few really small ones so I decided to hold off on digging them just a bit longer.

Newly Painted Hose Reel
Not long after I moved into my house, my parents gave me a hand-me-down hose reel. It has been looking a little sad, so I decided to break out the oil-rubbed bronze spray paint and freshen it up a bit. I not certain if this was a good choice or not. It definitely looks better than it did, but I forgot that that particular finish shows dirt pretty easily. I may end up repainting it gray to blend in with the house.
